Travel Vacation in Hawaii by Bus

When it comes to making travel arrangements in Hawaii your best bet would be to use a booking service that will enable you to travel easily and effectively in. I have managed to find such a company that will not only give you peace of mind when booking through them, but many package options to meet all your needs, whether financially or wanting to be treated like a celebrity.

The travel vacation packages that I am recommending you look at are all six days long and available on a daily basis. This includes five night’s accommodation, round-trip airport transfers, and sightseeing transportation to Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City tour, or Maui, or big Island tour. This and more is available to you.

Each tour bus has a level 2 semi-guided tour service which will help you identify all major tourist attractions and anything in between that you would like to know. It truly does make sense for you to be making use of a service like this as it is incredibly easy to travel anywhere by bus. This is definitely the most cost-effective way to travel.

The only other thing that you would need to purchase to make use of the travel vacation package deal in Hawaii would be an airline ticket to get there. It is also recommended that you try to book in advance as it will enable you to get the best price available to you for your airline ticket, and your travel vacation package in Hawaii. The best part of this travel vacation package is really not the planning of it, but just the enjoyment and experience of it all. It really does make it easier when all your travel arrangements and everything in between are all ready organized ahead of time.

Looking for packages online will ensure your needs and expectations traveling in Hawaii are met. I highly recommend that you sign a service that will offer you complete peace of mind when booking. It also makes sense that you find out how reputable a company really is, before you book, and also do a bit of homework by seeing what previous travelers that have made use of this type of service have to say about this company.

How To Start Your Own Tour and Travel Promotion Business

You can start your own business as a tour & travel promoter and work for yourself. There are lots of travel, cruise, sight seeing tour buses, and more, that could use your help, by helping them get new, and more customers. You can network with as many travel, cruise, tour bus, sight seeing companies and more, as much as you want to. You can contact each company and offer your services, and ask for a special deep discount for any, and all travelers you send to them.

If a travel company is selling a 15-day safari vacation for $3,900 for example, and you can get them to give it to you for $2,900, you can pocket $1,000 on just one transaction. So it would be good to have a good system to check with lots of companies and always get the best price. You could then also let each company know you are buying and selling vacations, and if someone has a last minute request, they could call you. You might be able to make up a nice little niche market for yourself.

You can contact casino’s, outlet shopping centers, theme parks, tourist attractions, and more. Ask for a special deal if you book a certain amount of people. You will never know what kind of deal you can get if you don’t ask, they can only say no. You could offer tickets to an event, for the same price the event is selling them for. As long as you have a nice discount, and you should be able to sell your tickets, and make a profit. If you can bring customers to a casino, they usually will give you a discount, as long as the customers come into the casino and stay for a certain amount of time, so the casinos have a change to recoup some of their money, by the customers playing in their casino.

You can work out any deal, as there is no rule on how much money you can make, if you put your mind to it and come up with some pretty neat ideas, somebody has not thought of yet. You can set up your own weekend getaways for couples, or plan an event just for singles, or a cruise for senior citizens. This is a business a person could thrive in, if they enjoy their work and have fun doing it too.

Las Vegas Grand Canyon Bus Tours During St Patrick’s Day Holiday

Are you looking for a fun and different way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year? You should consider taking a bus tour of the Grand Canyon, because it’s hard to find something more exciting and memorable than that. Combine your tour with a getaway to Vegas, where the bus tours depart, and you’ll have a trip filled with fun and memories. These bus tours fill up fast, so you’ll want to book yours in advance to secure your seats. Here’s a quick look at what the bus tours entail.

Vegas Bus Tours To The Canyon

The buses operate daily, and they leave once a day around 7am. These tours take most of the day, so you won’t get back until your hotel until about 9pm.

Vegas is situated about 125 miles from the West Rim, and it takes the tour bus around 2.5 hours to get there. You can book a bus tour from Vegas to the South Rim too, but the bus ride there takes around 5 1/2 hours.

Either rim is a good choice because both of them have many stunning views. The South Rim is noted for its beautiful scenery and remote wilderness areas. The West Rim, on the other hand, has more adventure activities and attractions, so it’s the best choice if you’re interested in tourist activities.

The Skywalk Is On The West Rim

The Skywalk is at the West Rim, and it is a popular attraction you’ll want to see when you go to the Canyon. Did you ever wish you could float on air? That’s how you’ll feel when you stand on the Skywalk and peer down 4000 feet to the bottom of the Canyon. The attraction is one of the most popular at the West Rim because standing on glass that’s suspended over the Canyon is an exhilarating experience. You can also upgrade your bus tour to include a helicopter tour of the Canyon that flies over the area or lands down on the Canyon floor by the river where you can take a scenic boat ride.

Exploring The South Rim Of The Canyon

There are several walking trails at the South Rim for you to explore, and there are some fantastic lookout points too, in addition, you can visit the Grand Canyon Village. The Village is a great place to learn about the Canyon and to shop for unique gifts and souvenirs. Don’t miss Yaki and Yavapai Points if you want to see some beautiful views of the Canyon.

You Can Book A Deluxe Tour

Bus tours are the most affordable tours you can take of the Canyon, and they come in two types. The basic tour and the deluxe upgrade. The basic tours utilize large buses that carry 50 or so people each trip. The basic tour is a good choice if you want the most affordable option or if you need to buy seats for a large group of people.

Sprinter vans are used on the deluxe tours, and they have comfortable Captain seats that carry 10 passengers. Fewer people on the tour means you’ll have a voice in when and where the van stops, plus your ride will be more comfortable. It is worth the extra cost to book a deluxe tour if you can.

The buses that depart from Vegas follow a route that goes by the Hoover Dam, and you’ll make a quick stop there so you can get a good look at the massive feat of engineering and take some amazing photos. If you’d like to get a closer look at the Hoover Dam, you can book another tour on a different day and spend more time there.

Final Thoughts

Once you’ve decided to take a bus tour, be sure to book it online. Booking online gives you access to the best deals and it makes it convenient to buy your tour early. You should try to buy your tour at least two weeks ahead of time to make sure seats are still available for the tour you want.

You’ll enjoy a trip to the Canyon no matter what time of year you go. But St. Patrick’s Day is the ideal time since the weather is still cool and it’s the perfect time for adventure and good times. If you’ll be visiting Vegas, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to take an affordable bus tour of one of America’s most famous national parks.

Vietnam Open Tour Bus Bargains

Open Tour buses are run by many of Vietnam’s tour companies. They provide cheap transportation alternatives for Vietnam travelers, offering travel bargains (SAMPLE ITINERARY: SAIGON TO NHA TRANG – $US 10, NHA TRANG TO HOI AN – $US 12, HOI AN TO HUE – $US 6, HUE TO HANOI – $US 17. CAUTION: Many Vietnam travel websites are not up to date price-wise.) and pick-up/drop-off service at your preferred hotel. You can stop-off at any point you want to explore and move on with the same company in a few days, or just buy tickets for each leg of the journey as you travel through Vietnam.

Front desk staff at hotels will be happy to book any transportation need, although you’re better off shop around at local tour agents, as prices will vary. Going directly to the bus company office may net you a commission-free fare, but most major bus operators may not be willing to negotiate price as agents will cut their commission to get the business.

Since tour providers charge very little, they make money on their “rest stops” or “bus stations” which are often souvenir shops or cafes. Travelers buy a meal, some munchies for the ride or souvenir while taking a break or waiting for their ride. Keep in mind departure, arrival and travel times are estimates at best – never early and may be a couple of hours late. Depending on how many hotels they have to pick up passengers at, it may be a while before you’re officially on the road. Getting on the bus at the tour bus company office may get you a good seat with your companions, get there early – Good Luck. Try not to drink too much water, as “comfort” stops, especially for overnight buses, may be just somewhere where there are a lot of bushes, but don’t get dehydrated.

Some buses imported to Vietnam are designed for those of Asian stature – bigger Occidentals may be uncomfortable, particularly on over night trips. Even though you may suffer from motion-sickness, it is a good idea to take a seat at the middle of the bus rather than at the front. In the middle you won’t have to suffer watching the poor driving habits of your driver and listen (a bit less) to the his incessant horn honking.

When taking any public transportation, keep a physical control of your day-packs and fanny-packs; and be aware of where your big pieces of luggage are stored during your trip. Make access into your luggage difficult.

Some Vietnam Open Tour Bus companies offer “sleeper style” buses. These are a bit pricier and, like other buses, have various levels of comfort.

Plan to arrive during hours of daylight (if possible) so that you can find an acceptable hotel room, be aware that your driver/bus company has a financial interest in delivering you to a particular hotel – they may even own the hotel. There may be an abundance of hotel “touts” waiting for your bus to arrive and make their “pitch” to you. I have no “sure-fire” advice in this circumstance. Just don’t be led too far away from the tourist center. When you arrive at a hotel be sure to inspect your room for hot water, window screens, air-conditioning, and maybe most important – security

Planning a self-guided tour of Vietnam, including open-tour bus transport can make a vacation to an exotic destination – Vietnam – a reality for any traveler.

Las Vegas Tours and Attractions – Use a Tour Bus and Save Big Bucks

Las Vegas is famous for grandiose hotels, 24/7 gambling, and star-struck shows. But it’s also a fantastic place to book value-packed bus tours to some of the planet’s best natural attractions.

Several conditions merge to make Sin City a budget-traveler’s paradise:

Air Fares – McCarran International Airport is 15th busiest in the world. Benefit to you? Discount air, tour, and bus tickets.
Geography – The City is at the nexus of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and California. All regional attractions can be reached by tour bus! If you prefer to fly, expect to have feet on the ground in under an hour.
Trip Costs – Almost 40 million people visit annually. It takes a lot of tour operators to service this many travelers. Competition for your travel dollar is fierce. Expect to get great value at great price.

You’ll be presented with hundreds of promotional offers. The best deals will be for food, drink, and entertainment. Tours are a different story. Best bet for value is to book in advance on the Internet, where you will consistently net big savings.

Riding a motor coach is the best way to take in the town and surrounding sights. It’s safe, economical, and affordable. Here are my Top 5 attractions that you are accessible by bus:

Grand Canyon South Rim – An absolute must-see. This is the part of the Canyon where postcard-pictures are shot. Plenty of food, shopping, and souvenirs, too.
Grand Canyon West Rim – Definitely a different part of the Canyon from the South Rim, but worth it if you’re in a time crunch. This is Hualapai Indian territory: Make sure you experience the Skywalk.
Hoover Dam “Mini” Tours – Just 30 miles east of Las Vegas. Second largest dam in the U.S. Free guided tour is one of the best on the market. Take elevator down to generator room. Major picture opportunities in the newly constructed Observation Room.
Lake Mead Cruise – Lake Mead is the largest man-made lake in the country. Cruise past extinct volcanoes. Sail just 100’s of yards away from Hoover Dam! It’s the only tour where you can easily experience the Colorado River.
Las Vegas City Tour – Offered day and night. Experience Sin City like a local. See all the key landmarks, including celeb mansions, Freemont Street, The Strip, and more. Guide-intensive, so make sure you get a good one.

Bus tour packages can also include helicopter rides, plane flights, river rafting excursions, and more.

Not all tour operators can effectively bundle trips fro you. The one, however, that repeatedly gets big kudos from travelers is Grayline tours. Operated by one of the largest sightseeing companies in the world (they’re tours are in 150 destinations, including Paris, London, New York, Cairo, Hong Kong, and more), Gray Line epitomizes safety, reliability, and value. They’re tour guides undergo rigorous training and are oftentimes more knowledgeable about, for example, Las Vegas than the locals. And, if you want to “supersize” your Las Vegas attraction’s tour by including helicopter or plane flight, they are people that can arrange it to perfection.

A Travel Tour Bus Is The Best Way To See The Countries

Booking a travel tour bus to travel through parts of Canada and the United States is possibly the best way to see the countries and some of the most fantastic sights and views in the world. Removing the stress of driving and map reading from the experience allows the traveller to sit back, relax and enjoy the sights.

There are a great many tour operators offering a wide range of packages and routes to suit any budget. Unfortunately, the routes tend to be set and may not always visit specific areas of interest to the traveller. But side trips can always be arranged if there is a set stop nearby and the time available to make the extra trip worth while.

When planning a tour, browse through the various tour information sections to pick out the routes that take in places that appeal most to a traveller. Many popular tour routes will travel through New York, Boston, Washington, then over the border into Canada and with stops in Toronto, Montreal and Niagara Falls.

With overnight stays and time to explore in many places the opportunities for sight seeing and shopping are endless. New York offers Broadway and the many entertaining live shows, as well as Central Park and Fifth Avenue with Macy and Bloomingdale stores for browsing and some expensive shopping. The views when crossing the bridge into Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty are excellent.

Washington offers many famous and historical buildings to visit, including the White House and many of the Government and State buildings display magnificent architectural features. The history and current day politics make this an important and busy city well worth visiting.

Boston is an elegant and beautiful city which has a European flavour. There is no shortage of historical buildings and beautiful parks to visit and a wide variety of international cuisines to choose from.

Over the border into Canada and Toronto is an exciting and exhilarating city and is any shoppers paradise. It offers an eclectic range of shopping experiences with the many markets and individual traders offering everything you can think off.

Montreal is based on an island in the St Laurence River and has an interesting history and reputation which was built up during the prohibition years. Its many historical buildings and sites are worth a visit. Montreal is in the Quebec province and is famous for its French connections.

Niagara Falls which is one of the worlds most famous tourist attractions sits on the border between New York and Toronto. The falls consist of three separate water falls, each one as spectacular as the next. A visit not to be missed.

These are only a very few of the cities and historical and interesting sites that the United States and Canada have to offer and only cover a very small fraction of both countries. Travellers could spend many of their annual holidays periods on a travel tour bus and still not have seen or visited all of the places or interest in these two massive countries.

Grand Canyon South Rim Bus Tours

So, you’re in Las Vegas on vacation and you’re considering a side trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Good choice. Of all the “Rims,” it’s the South one that’s got all the world-famous views.

How to get there if you’re on a budget? By tour bus, of course.

Prices at the time this article was written ranged from $80 to $160. Book online – the best deals are on the Internet. For more information about pricing, please see link at bottom of article.

These are not the motor coaches of yore, either. They are state-of-the-art vehicles, and they come equipped with the following:

Restroom
VCR’s
Deluxe, reclining seats
Maximum legroom
Removable arm rests
Climate control (air conditioning and heat)
Large custom windows

Most bus tours, which hit the road around 7 a.m., include free hotel pick up and drop off, as well as a complimentary box lunch (we’ve tried them all and they’re quite tasty).

The drive to the South Rim includes such sights as Lake Mead, historic Hoover Dam (there will be a brief stop for photos), the Colorado River, and Black Canyon, exclusive habitat or big horn sheep.

The entrance to Grand Canyon National Park features quite a dramatic change in scenery: You’ll be up on the Kaibab Plateau, home of the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine in the world.

Your adventure begins at Bright Angel Lodge, the main structure in historic Grand Canyon village. The Lodge, built in the 1930’s, is surrounded by restaurants, a museum, other lodgings, gift shops, and the Bucky O’Neill Cabin, the oldest structure on the Rim. It’s also here that you can board one of the many free shuttles and discover such key viewpoints as Mather Point, Yavapai Point, Yaki, and more. Typically, you will have three hours to enjoy the South Rim and The Village.

Here are some facts to consider as you enjoy this incredible natural wonder:

The Canyon was created by the Colorado River over a 5.4 million-year period.
The Canyon is 277 miles long and ranges in width from four to 18 miles
It’s more than a mile deep.
At 8,200 feet (2,500 m) above sea level, the North Rim is 1,200 feet (350 m) higher than the South Rim.
It became a National Park in 1919
5 Million visitors annually
It’s populated by five Indian tribes

The return trip to Las Vegas usually includes a break in Kingman, AZ, where you can stretch your legs, grab a snack, or smoke (coaches are smoke-free). You’ll then head back over Hoover Dam, skirt by Boulder City, and then drop down into the Las Vegas valley.

Total trip time from pick up to drop off is approximately 14 hours.

If you’ve longed to experience the magnificence of the South Rim, consider booking a trip with one of Las Vegas’ many tour bus operators. Tours run daily, seven days a week. The price is right, too, if you shop and book on the Internet. There’s no excuse to leave this Seventh Wonder of the World on your “bucket list” anymore. Especially if you do it on-board a Grand Canyon bus.

San Francisco Bus Tour – My Experience on an English Style Double Decker Bus

San Francisco is one of the top destinations in the world for good reason. For one, its location is amazing. Surrounded by water, mountains, and ever changing landscape it’s no wonder people love it here.

I recently was fortunate enough to take a San Francisco bus tour on an open top English style double-decker serviced by City Sightseeing. Once I hopped on, I knew I was in for a ride. The tour guide Suzanne was excellent. I recommend taking her tours if possible. She had me laughing so hard I cried.

I went on the Downtown loop tour as well as the Golden Gate loop tour. Out of these two San Francisco bus tours, I recommend taking the Golden Gate loop tour. The tour bus takes you over the Golden Gate and stops at a vista point allowing you to take pictures of the bridge. It also passes through the Presidio, and past homes costing millions before making its way back to Fishermans’ Wharf.

The other San Francisco bus tour I went on, the downtown loop offered great flexibility because it made many stops and you could hop on or off where you pleased. Buses run every thirty minutes so it’s easy to make your way across the city. Parking and driving in San Francisco is a mess, so it was nice having someone else to drive me. The driver made stops in Chinatown, Union Square, Civic Center, Ferry Building, Lombard St. Fishermans’ Wharf, and the SOMA district.

Make sure you stop and view Lombard St. This is the curviest street I have ever seen. and people drive down just for the fun of it. Neither of the San Francisco buses are able to drive down it, but it will stop next to the street so you can view it on your own.

Another place worth stopping is Chinatown. According to our guide, it is the largest Chinatown in the world. The streets are packed with open air markets and Chinese restaurants.

Another district I went to was North Beach, the Italian district. I stopped at Pinocchio’s for some good Italian food with family. If you like Italian food this area has many to choose from.

I recommend buying your tickets online rather that at the City Sightseeing office. I was able to save at least 3 dollars off each ticket by buying them ahead of time online.

Hoover Dam Bus Accident – Improving Safety

Accidents which cause injury and death are always tragic. The question which most people ask afterward is whether the accident could have been avoided in the first instance. While the NHTSA is still investigation the cause of this accident, many bus safety manufacturers, bus injury lawyers, and other pundits are already discussing problems surrounding the tour bus industry. There are literally thousands of small tour bus operators around the country. They run airport shuttles, vacation tours, classic shuttle services, hotel transportation, and a host of other related activities. Passengers crowd in these small buses, often without the benefit of seatbelts or other safety devices.

There are a number of factors which make these vans especially hazardous. The first is that they have large windows along the passenger sides. This means that any accident which dislodges the windows will likely create a portal. Because the passenger compartment is so large, there is a lot more room to be thrown around. The seats are not secured like they are in cars, and the seat backs tend to be less sturdy.

The premise for bus design is that they are such large vehicles, they are less likely to be the subject of a severe accident. However, anyone who has ridden in a tour bus knows that the drivers are often so experienced, that they take risks other people would not. The Arizona bus crash killed seven Chinese nationals appears at this point to be a combination of driver error and the defective conditions in the bus itself. Those conditions might include the window opening, the lack of seatbelts, and an early suggestion that the door of the bus might have come ajar prior to the driver losing control. Without question, any legal cases filed on behalf of the bus crash victims will be a combination of negligence and product defect claims. The litigation will be complex and expensive. Hiring a competent attorney with experience in vehicle defect claims will be important.

Arizona Bus Crash Kills 7 Chinese Tourists – No Seat Belts Available For the Passengers

The fatal tour bus accident close to Hoover Dam last Saturday claimed the lives of 7 Chinese tourists when the driver over-corrected and caused the bus to rollover several times. The passengers on this small airport-style tour bus owned by D.W. Tours and driven by Han Dong had no seat belts available. The Chinese passengers who were tossed out of the bus during the roll-event all died. The bus had seat belts as an available option but none were installed. Isn’t it time seat belts on tour buses were mandatory?

Many questions remain unanswered as the national transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and local law enforcement officials continue their investigation. Reports suggest they are now focused on the driver as the potential cause of the accident.

The reality of this accident is this. The bus passengers who were thrown outside the bus (ejected) had little chance at survival. Automobile, truck and bus manufacturers have known for decades that keeping passengers inside the vehicle (whether a tourist bus, common bus, car or truck) is the most important survival factor in any vehicle accident. Yet, seat belts remain a manufacturers ‘option’ for purchasers of tour buses. And school buses remain largely unregulated when it comes to safety belt use.

If these Chinese tourists had seat belt available to them, and properly wore those belts, it is very likely that there would be no fatalities in this accident. Their families and loved ones would not be flying from China today, to identify bodies or claim remains. While the accident may still have occurred, the resulting injuries could have been diminished and the death avoided altogether. NHTSA has been avoiding the issue of deaths due to ejection from buses for decades. Hopefully, this tragedy outside the Hoover Dam in Arizona will cause regulations making seat belts mandatory to be passed and tour operators to encourage their use by passengers.
